Gotta' get moving!

Saturday, November 28, 2009

I have got to get out of this funk that I'm in. I'm not depressed really, just somewhat anti-social. I haven't fallen off my eating plan (except Thanksgiving where I actually did really well until I had cherry cheesecake; my mom insisted that I bring it home with me, and now it is all gone!) but I haven't been exercising. Yesterday I didn't feel very well, but I figured out that I think it was from all the cherry cheesecake that I ate... I have decided that I'm not going to have any "real" desserts until Christmas. Before I had banned ice cream, but I had one scoop with my cheesecake on Thanksgiving, but I haven't bought & eaten a pint all at once for over 5 weeks now. So I'm still sticking with that. I've done some stuff around the house that got me sweating like rearranging my bedroom furniture (and that was a chore all by myself!) but my treadmill is collecting dust. I have pretty much stayed inside since Thursday (except to take my trashcan to the curb and going to Subway to get my sub for lunch today). Maybe tomorrow morning I'll get up and go outside to take a walk. It is supposed to be nice from what the weatherman said tonight. So I'll be a lazy slug for one more evening and tomorrow I'll get off my butt and MOVE! I'm going to make this coming week a good one!

You CAN shake this - I'm working on some writing exercises to change my thinking. I see a lot of positives in this episode - go back and read it again and focus on all of the things you did positive - and then follow through with your commitment to get back into your exercise routine.

    Best wishes emoticon
