Preparing...

Wednesday, November 25, 2009

Hello all....

This is my first blog entry to hopefully a long and successful journey into weight loss and the person that I want to be. I am not starting my dieting today, right off the bat, I am going to enjoy my Thanksgiving and take the rest of the week to prepare myself for the focus that I will need to lose the 111 lbs that I want to lose. I'm hoping to have it all gone by this time next year, but the chance of that actually happening is kind of slim. I've decided to just break my weight loss down into small increments and take it one day at a time. I will be going through a 7-day cleanse next week, which will hopefully get my body into the mindset that will allow me to say no to soft drinks and sweets more easily and to stop eating when I'm full instead of finishing my plate no matter how much is on it. Here's to hopefully the last beginning of this journey and to a successful trip this time!

Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

Amanda

Welcome to Spark! I too divide my weight loss into increments. I find it easier to lose 5 pounds at a time, mentally, than to look at even 20.
