Nice time at the gym today.

Another good day at the gym. Worked on my ab routine for an hour, then rowed for 30 minutes, and finished with an hour on the elliptical. Then spent 1/2 hour in the outdoor hot tub.

Today is the second day with my new heart rate monitor and it has helped make the cardio interesting again. Keeping my heart rate up in the 140's which is good for where I am at right now after 4 good months of cardio. It must being doing me some good as I took a fitness test this morning with the heart rate monitor and it gave me an elite rating of 54 which is the highest fitness level listed based on my age and other input stats. Also used it to measure my resting heart rate which came in at 51 bpm, which I am also pleased with for now.

All the good numbers are nice to see, but stress reduction is still what I just love about exercise. I can be drowning in stress and go to the gym and 10 minutes after I start my workout the stress just starts melting away and I am good for the rest of the day.
