Well, Shoot! 5 Steps forward, 4 steps back

Hi Guys!

Today was Wednesday weigh day, and it was not sooo fun. Last week's Wednesday felt great! It was a celebration to finally be out of the 170's, to finally be at a healthy BMI, I had lost (SURPRISE!) 5 POUNDS! Insane, but it felt soo good to finally see some huge scale movement. This morning though, I saw some big scale movement too--in the other direction. emoticon Gained 4 lbs back. Last week 166, this week 170.

Ironically, today I started a new "Lifestyle Habit", and the theme is Overcoming Setbacks. This woman's face peeking up from my e-mail made me giggle a bit, cause I'm sure that's what I looked like this morning on the scale:


So I'm down, but I'm not out. Weight is a fickle thing, and I'm going to count the reasons why it wasn't very nice to me this morning:
- Didn't eat very great this weekend.
- Water Retention?
- Eating salty foods
- Stress
- Etc, etc. .......

I'm not going to let get in the way of my goals. I will be in 160-ville by Thanksgiving. I still have a week, and I only need to lose 1 lb. to do it. Here's to sticking to it, even when the going is rough!

    I agree, don't let it get you down, that danged scale is such a fickle thing and honestly, it could just be water retention....just keep doing what you are doing and you'll be back to where you were in no time!

    I've been at a stand still or have gained for 3 months now, Its very frustrating I did so good for 7 months then slowed down then stopped losing to now gained 4, I'm exersizing haven't kept up calories count but really haven't over done it. So still trying to figure out what I need to do, so we'll both hang in there and good luck to you. I won't even be close to my Dec 31 goal, so will have to except that and start over
