Good-bye and Hello!

Well, good-bye to our vacation in Florida and Hello to the normal life we lead. We had a wonderful time together while we were away. A bonus...no one got sick, the van worked perfect, the hotels/house was excellent and only slight sunburn for one of my little ones.
We left Sunday night and drove through to Valdosta, GA. Unfortunately, the beautiful scenery of TN and KY was lost in the dark. We were in GA before it got light enough to see. We had a family suite in the Holiday Inn there. This worked out perfect. Instead of adjoining rooms, it has a room connected that only we could access for all of the children.
The next morning it was off to Anna Maria Island, FL. It is a seven-mile long island off the coast of Bradenton/Sarasota on the Gulf of Mexico side. It's not a very populated beach and is very quiet.
We got to our rental home around 3 p.m., settled in, and walked to the beach (about a 4 minute walk) and watch the sunset. WOW! God's creation is amazing! We watched the sunset every evening and walked on the beach for about 2 miles every morning. My DH went snorkling above a reef right off the beach. We built sandcastles, watched dolphins, laid in the sunshine, chased seagulls, gathered LOTS of seashells, read on the beach, ate LOTS (too much) of food, slept in a little and stayed up late. (Yes, I did exercise four nights we were gone, but not as much as I intended.)
After we checked out there, we were off to Orlando. I'll share that at another time. I'm being summoned from one of the children.
