Who's an Alpha-female?

Where have I been? Good question. Eating, I guess. My weight is up, My good habits and exercise are down. Funy how some old habits can quietly and easily sneak back into one's life.
So today, I wore my 'special occasion' glasses. I ordered a different sub at Subway for lunch, and I only got the 6", instead of the 12". And tonight, I think I'll really MIX IT UP and sleep on the other side of the bed. That's right. Complete mayhem.
Seriously, though. I was doing better when I was trying to eat vegetarian. Once I allowed chicken strips back in my life, well... It's been downhill from there.

Tonight, I'm meeting a friend for dinner that I haven't seen in years and years. And years. She described herself as 'Alpha'. When a person describes themSELVES as Alpha, it's probably true. Personally, Alpha-types tend to amuse me more than anything else. I am definitely not an Alpha-male. I'm more of that lazy lion sitting under the tree, all chilled out and laid back, watching the other lions fight each other.
To me, Alphas seem like they are in control, but in reality, they require a lot of stroking and extra work. To keep them interested, you have to do the opposite of whatever they're expecting. And they expect a lot. It's a big mind game. I've dated a couple of Alpha girls before. They seem attracted to talents I have, as if they would like to market me. I always feel like, instead of a sex object, I am a financial object. It tends to fizzle quickly.
But maybe I'm completely wrong.
Who out there is an Alpha-female? I'm interested in your take on things.
