This Past week, I lost 3.4 pounds. The previous week I lost 3 pounds. I'M THRILLED. I just love the program I'm on and the support that I get from my Optifast group at Kaiser and my friends here at SparkPeople.
By way of overall update. I have lost a total of 32.4 pounds since the beginning of this year 2009. Since starting the Optifast Program, I have lost 28.9 pounds. That is just under 3 pounds per week on Optifast. My calorie intake is most often in the range of 800 - 1000 calories per day. I take supplements and additional fiber and that increases my calories. On this program most people who strictly follow the new product consumption guidelines, consume between 800 - 960 calories per day.
HEALTH AND WELLNESS:
My blood pressure yesterday evening was 110/65. A bit high for me. I was still a bit excited about the weigh-in (smile); but it is definitely not high in the scheme of things. All of my blood test results and other tests were within the normal range. The best news is that my Vitamin D level is normal. I am no longer deficient. Yea.
I am enjoying membership in one team that focus on nutrition, wellness and advice for healthy eating and living etc.
MOOD AND AFFECT:
I'm really much happier lately. I am making better choices in a lot of areas in my life. I am staying away from negativity and the people and situations that bring me down. Self-preservation if you will. My clients will continue to need help, however, it's time limited and I leave work at work. In my private life, I am associating with people who are positive, motivated and determined and it does make a difference. I'm sleeping better and I feel calmer overall.
EXERCISE AND PLANS:
I believe that exercise is key to success; and the Turbo Jam and other Beachbody/Powder Blue products are excellent for me. Since I began doing regular exercise with this product, my weight loss has been steady and I'm feeling and looking great. I look really good now, if I must say so myself...voluptuous and delicious as my husband says.
Funny thing this week in the Optifast support group, everybody is looking good and getting complements and increased affection and flirtation from loved ones and strangers respectively. When you look good you feel good. And we look marvelous (smile).
The Present: I really enjoy my teams that have leaders who are successful and maintaining...and who consistently motivate the team members; focusing on what is really important. I also really enjoy being a member of a team here that focuses on laughter, sharing jokes etc. and whenever I need a lift, I check in there and I literally do laugh out loud. So laughter and exercise are good medicine for me. I'm more than satisfied with my exercise and fitness teams and will remain there. I'm also enjoying the teams that have a focus on positive attitude and motivation and being happy. And last but certainly not least is my hobby kind of team that focuses on the fun of researching and collecting fitness DVD's
The Future: This week my search for teams and friends will be focused on nutrition and healthy eating. As I wean off Optifast and transition into healthier eating I want to have a good foundation and support system in place.
The Past: I will be leaving some teams today. Ones that I don't really participate in and that sounded nice/helpful at first but have little substance.
I'm still out of control here. (smile) But I'm having a good time. Today I'm going to get a re-fill on my new solar fingernails that I got a couple of weeks ago and a Contempo spa pedicure with paraffin wax and massage and herbal wrap of legs and feet etc. I lost 8.6 pounds in October. I deserve my rewards (smile)
Thank you to all who have patiently answered my questions and commented on my blogs and sparkpage. Congratulations to those who have met/reached their goals and working on their dreams. And encouragement to those who continue to strive with determination and sharp focus. To those who are flailing, failing and falling, I send you a hug and a prayer. I've been there and done that so many times. I thank God for his/her blessing.
