5 lbs., Standard Daylight Time, and Facebook

During the dark days of Daylight Savings Time ( September and October) I took my workout indoors and rode the spinner. I burned my calories and worked my weight more, but I was missing my early morning run. My weight got as low as 147lbs. which was awesome. My wardrobe was ill fitting and I was "hot stuff". Then feeling a little "too" awesome, I got a little lax in my eating habits. Now I'm up 5 lbs.. I'm not worried because I have seen the mountain top and I'm not that far away. Today I began my morning run now that it's not dark in the mornings, and I feel myself getting inspired by the change of activity.

Lately I have found myself burning significant time on Facebook. That place is a wasteland that has distracted me from important things. With the start of Standard Daylight Time, I made a resolution to walk away from Facebook and get back to real life. I have spent hours in a day playing the silly games on that site and reading insane status update posts from relatives and "friends". The only social network that supports me and what I'm all about is Sparkpeople. This is a network that encourages. I learn something new from the people here and the articles I read. I really don't need to see the latest Youtube sensation or learn that Joe Smoe is on level 110 in Mafia Wars. So I'm going to log in some constructive time where I can get support and inspiration.

Now I won't be on Sparkpeople for hours. But I will check in daily to stay grounded.
