short but sweet

my blood sugars have been really good lately, and i'm glad of that. but this spark thing is taking so long to sink in. i thought about quitting because i had not logged in all week and was just going to give up. hadn't felt well, the fibro has kicked back in full force with the cold weather back again for us in western wa. so i spent more time resting, because i have a tendency to barrel ahead even though i feel terrible. in the case of fibro, its not something that is wise to do because the next day can be even worse in terms of pain and fatigue. so i am supposed to just chill for several hours until i feel well enough to carry on with my day or evening. but this week, it was so hard to exercise. stretching was ok and helped but actual exercise was fighting against major fatigue. so i didn't do anything "sparkworthy". didn't gain any weight though. today was better so i am back and not going to be a quitter (at least this week). this is me jumping back on the bandwagon! i feel better just being back on this site. hope it continues, i just have to remember to take things at my own pace and not worry about goals for now. no pressure, no stress, its a lifestyle not a race.

I loved the word "sparkworthy" too and your last sentence, "It's a lifestyle, not a race." - perfect! Know what you mean about the weather and its problems. Me, too. Sometimes my arthritis is so cranky I find it hard to even walk, never mind exercise. But - I do have a pedal thing that I can use while sitting in my chair. Do I? Not often enough.
I'm back to Spark along with the weight that I lost when I first come here. Got to rev up my lifestyle!!!! Thanks - Meri

Glad you are not "quitting"! I find it's the hardest thing to do, to not just give up when I don't keep on my goals. So for me it is encouraging to know other people are struggling with staying the course, but generally succeeding over the long term. Love your new word, "sparkworthy". sparkie 48
