Slimming Down in Strange Areas

Sunday, November 01, 2009

I am starting to see some noticeable difference in my body now that I'm almost 80 lbs. down from my highest point. At first I notice the beginnings of a waistline, some definition in my shoulders, slimming in my face, and of course, the only place I'd rather NOT lose weight, a reduction in my bosom.

Lately I've found that some other, not so run-of-the-mill body parts are looking better and better. For example, my middle back is really starting to change. I don't know exactly what I'm doing to make that happen, but I'll take it! The part of my legs that are above my knees but below my thighs are also starting to look better. My hands are even slimming down (I've almost lost my wedding ring twice!).

I've been sick with the flu for the past few days, so today will be the third day in a row that I can't exercise without hacking uncontrollably. I'm really bummed, since exercising has become an addiction. Some part of me is afraid that I'll instantly fall back into old habits and immediately gain the weight back. I know that I should take care of my body while I'm sick, but I have to admit that all of this down time is making me a little bit anxious. I'm so close to my goal to reach 299.9 by my birthday (in 3 weeks) that I don't want to lose momentum because of some silly bug!

On the plus side, I saw a podiatrist about my ankle and it's already feeling a lot better. It turns out that just wearing shoes while I'm in the house (instead of being barefoot) is helping my achilles heal and relieves the pain immensely. I'm so grateful that getting my injury under control looks to be a relatively easy fix.

I know all too well about the hacking uncontrollable coughing bouts!! i`ve had the H1N1 virus for over a week now and its down right horrible...the cough and wheeze just won`t go away.

Today i rode my excercise bike in 10 minute intervals...managing 30minutes. Not as much as id like but something atleast.

Maybe you could ease back into something slowly...it`ll help keep you motivated.

Good luck...you`ve done great so far,, i know you can do it.

    Feel better... emoticon
