The Scale Has Been Sabotaged.

I gained 3 pounds this past week. I'm pretty sure the scale has malfunctioned. I mean seriously.... it's been compromised...sabotaged! And who would do such a thing?!

(laughing) Well turns out, that "who", is me. I'm so ticked. (laughing) Set it back three pounds. The pizza and the almond clusters and the chocolate covered almonds is, I guess, what did it. Hmmm...

And you know what?

I thought I was doing so well, because if anything, I was eating those things in small portions, and everyday counting my calories to remain within my 1200 to 1550 restriction. I had been doing it well enough prior. But I guess this week, wasn't my week.

I am the sabotager...lol... (sigh). I was soooo close to my half way goal in my Phase 1 plan. Sooo close. It would mark that my weight has decreased/improved by 25%.

SIDENOTE:

I find that breaking my large goal of losing 68 pounds is best for me by breaking them up into smaller goals (check out my "Goals" section on my SparkPage). So basically, I have two phases for my weight loss. Phase 1 is "Lose 33 pounds of my extra weight". And 17 pounds is about half that. Translation to me, I would have been a quarter of the way to my goal. In other words, 17 divided into 68 is 25%. I know it's a bunch of number jumbo, but it helps me. Try it for your weight loss goal. It really helps keep your mentality up.

Anyway...

I'm going to try again. Luckily, I don't feel discouraged which is very dangerous (usually cues me to eat Cheez-its and those yummy Nabisco Chewy Chocolate Chip cookies and lots of fast food). So that's a very lucky thing. I do however feel disappointed, but I can work with that... and change it into motivation.

So, I move on. Trying to get back on South Beach sometime this week to jump start me again. Meantime, I'm still going strong on my fast food fast...88 days! Go me!

Besides....

I have still at least succeeded at keeping off 14 pounds. So that is roughly 20% of my overall weight loss goal. And that, I'll take.
