I need to join Procrastinators Anonymous if there is such a thing!

I started cleaning out my front bedroom/office this morning after getting back from picking up my food from the Angel Food Ministries in Florence this morning. I began to get really really sleepy and decided to take a nap. I finally woke up, had lunch (it's 3pm...) and now I'm trying to get in the productive mode again, but I want to watch tv. I have a million things I'd like to get done, plus I need to get on my treadmill today. I feel the excuses coming... I'm just going to turn off the tv and get to work...after I finish up on SP... :)

    I'm a "List Maker" (Yes, there is such a type) Trouble is, my list is so long that it's overwhelming and impossible to prioritize.
    My favorite avoidance behavior is reading.
    One strategy I find effective is to do SOMETHING for just 15 minutes - I even set a timer at first. It doesn't seem like much, but something gets done, and often the action gets me in a more productive mood.
    Another thing that works is to pick up whatever I notice and put it in its place (clutter is a problem) The movement is light exercise that gets my blood circulating and the satisfaction of restoring order is both rewarding and motivating.

    Well, I think the key to that is balance...make sure you take time for yourself regularly. I know easier said than done...but it must be done. Force the habit of spending time with yourself. Just 15-30 mins of strictly "You" time can fuel your tank. I think when we don't take time for ourselves we feel robbed, and find ourselves taking that time from other things then feeling guilty for something that we need and deserve. So just finding a balance between the two so neither is neglected may help....HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY :oD
