My First Day at Curves

Thursday, October 22, 2009

I just got back from my first workout at Curves. I decided to try it because I think I've plateaued again and I need to rachet up the exercise a little. I really liked it, and I think it's going to be helpful. The girl who showed me around was really nice-and she wasn't one of those size zero types. (smile) I just hope I can remember what to do on each of the machines, but she said I'll catch on quickly. I'm hoping that next time I go, I can get behind someone else and watch them on the machines, until I'm more familiar with them. And guess what? There's a Curves workout in the fitness tracker, so you don't have to try to figure out how to track it. By the way, I lucked out - this is breast cancer awareness month, and there is no start-up fee this month. The start-up fee is $199, so it's a real savings. If anyone is thinking of joining Curves, this is the best time!

Good for you! Sometimes a little change in routine is all that's needed during a plateau. Keep us posted on how it goes!

I went to Curves a few years ago for a few months as a special and loved it. They were very helpful with reminders on how to use the machines and laughed with me when they would check pulse and I would tell them I was dead because could never find my pulse! LOL I understand they have gone a lot of changes since then with machinery that tracks your numbers for you. I loved especially the girls only aspect and that there were women of all and I mean ALL ages there and all weights and sizes and clothing options. Never been someplace where I felt that comfortable. Hope it helps with your plateau! WhoooHoo!
