GOOD BYE OLD ME??

I didn't have to go to work this morning. So I told myself that I would do another walk/run this morning. I woke up a 5:00 and just laid there with the tv playing my favorite news program. I said self self said get up but I continued to lay there nodding a few times. My daughter woke me and said she was leaving for school it is now 7:00!!. I told myself to get up and get going. Then I said I'll wait until all the kids have gone to school because my daughter might get embarrassed if all her friends see me running by. So I waited. Then again I nodded off to sleep again. Then I heard someone say "Walking is the best excercise and you just got to get up and get out there". WHAT! It was some very fit lady on the program Good Morning America. I knew right then and there that that was a sign for me to get my tail up and get going. I jumped out of bed and into my work out clothes and grabbed my Nike+ sportsband and was out the door. This time I just ran around the neighborhood.

I had to give myself a pat on the back for that one. If this was the old me I would have never gotten my tail up. I would have made up every excuse to stay were I was, loving every minute of laying in my bed. I would have said I'll do it tomorrow or the weekend. I would have said it's just one day it won't hurt. It's my day off why should I waste it by working out and getting all tired. But guess what.... good bye old me.
