I refuse to log my current weight - I gained 3lbs in 2 days. I am sure it's water since I was eating a lot of fast food and drinking very little water. A little high on calories one day but the other was okay. Thighs and arms seem trimmer, tho. I need to measure again.

I walked Saturday and Sunday but Monday - Oh my goodness!! Plenty enough exercise to burn off those extra calories eaten 2 days earlier! 45 min on the bicycle in the morning then went to Disneyland with co-workers. 6 of us took a vacation day and went to DL - no kids, no spouses. WE were kids for the day.

First I parked in the wrong parking lot which meant instead of having a shuttle drop me at the door, I had to hike 20min through Downtown Disney (their shopping mall). That's 20min speed-walking. After all, I had rides to enjoy. :)

Then we walked all over the place and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on all of the big rides. Several of us had headaches since our heads aren't use to the centrifugal force exerted on many of the rides. But we all refused to admit it hurt. I was the baby at 32. One other 30-something. The others were mid 40s to mid 50s.

After 10 hours at DL, I hiked across Downtown Disney to locate my car. But I ended up in the wrong parking lot and what took 20 min in the morning took 40 in the evening.

In one day, I logged 45 min on the bike, 60 min of speed walking and at least 2 hours of mall-walking. If only I had worn my pedometer!

It did make me wonder if I need to build some stamina - or at least buy some better shoes. I was on my feet for about 12 hours and my lower back was bothering me. If I go into nursing, I'll likely be on my feet for 12 hours at a time. Granted, I won't be whipped around multiple times during that 12 hours. :) But lifting, bending, stretching, etc will probably be part of it. Gotta strengthen that core some more.

I haven't been to Disneyland in ages.....good for you!

For some reason I have had this craving for dill pickles which have HUGH sodium content. If you haven't done so already, add sodium as one of your nutrients to track. I did and was shocked at my daily intake.....(I still eat the dills....)

Your Disneyland trip sounded wonderful! I like how you went as the kid for the day. Too cool!!!

I have high blood pressure and have to watch my salt intake. When i started logging everything I ate, my sodium level was WAY high. You can't even eat green beens from a can without going over the recommended sodium levels. Fast food has LOTS of salt and that would definitely make you retain water.

Hang in there. Sounds like you are doing wonderful on your exercise.
