Who are you listening to?

Thursday, October 15, 2009

The mirror reflects, but does not speak. The scale displays, but never speaks. The shadow can mimic, but does not utter a sound. So, who are you listening to? YOU have the power to cause negative thoughts with the words you say. Leave CAN'T and HATE out of your vocabulary.
Change occurs when you put forth the effort. YOU can do it. TELL yourself that. Stop listening to inanimate objects. Don't allow anyone else's opinion mean more than your own.

Listen to YOURSELF regarding goals:

Never be afraid of asking for help. Be more afraid of giving up.

So, who ARE you listening to?

Thank you all for the warm feedback. I feel compelled to say that this blog isn't a poem (or, it wasn't MEANT to The catalyst for this blog was some advice I'd given a Sparkfriend previously. This was one of the "suggestions" I'd given listen to herself, and not pay so much attention to what the scale, or mirror "say." They don't actually talk. WE do.

Maybe I will share some of my positive poems on here soon, however. They've helped me through rough patches, so perhaps they could help others. I truly care for each and every one of you. Stay healthy, or at least strive for it. I'm doing the same. Let's continue to support each other, and remember, the person you help may one day be rendering YOU some help.
