Our Beautiful Jesus

Revelation 2:8-9
“To the angel of the church in Smyrna write:
These are the words of him who is the First and the Last, who died and came to life again. I know your afflictions and your poverty—yet you are rich! I know the slander of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.”

Going through these 2 verses I also see that Jesus has a powerful purpose in this churches pain. The first purpose that we see is nothing goes to waste with God pain can be and is extremely VALUABLE. Lets look again at “who died and came to life again.” This is the 3rd thing in a row that Jesus is intimately first primarily is encouraging this church. He is saying here that he existed at one time dead. This shows us that Jesus actually became DEAD. He really died a horrible rotten suffering death on the cross it was not fake he wasn’t being phony it wasn’t some spiritual thing it was an actual DEATH. Let's really look at what our Lord and Savior endured on the cross to make us his children. This is from a coroner’s perspective.

“As Jesus slowly sags down with more weight on the nails in his wrists excruciating fiery pain shoots through his fingers and up his arms to explode in the brain. The nails in the wrists are putting pressure on the nerves and therefore as he pushes himself upward to avoid this stretching torment he places the full weight of the nail through his feet. But this causes a searing agony as the nails tear the nerves between the bones of his feet. Then his arms get fatigued, cramped and sweeps through his muscles knotting them with a deep relentless throbbing pain. With these cramps comes the inability to push himself upward just to breathe. Air can be drawn into the lungs but not exhaled so Jesus fights to raise himself in order to get one small breath. In spasms he is able to push himself upward to exhale to get more oxygen but at each time its less and less. He experienced HOURS of horrible pain as the tissue is torn from his lacerated back trying to move up and down against the rough timber just so he can breath. But then another agony arrives a deep crushing pain in his chest begins around the area of his heart it slowly fills with serum and begins to compress his heart. Then its almost over the loss of fluids has reached a critical level the heart is struggling to pump blood as his tortured lungs are making a frantic effort gasps small gulps of air. He can feel the chill of death creeping through his tissues and finally Jesus can allow his body to die but not before saying, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do”.

Here is the obvious question did God really allow that to happen to Jesus? Yes he did in fact JESUS KNEW it was coming and he VOLUNTEERED FOR IT!!

“Father not my will but yours be done” why? Because he saw that’s what the scriptures says he endured the cross for the JOY set before him. He saw that there was something IMMENSELY INCREDIBLE VALUABLE BEYOND THE PAIN. Lets remind ourselves the IMMENSE VALUE you and I are recipients of because JESUS SAID YES TO PAIN!! He defeated SIN on the cross

Romans 5:8-9
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him!

Because Jesus endured the cross he died that horrible death.

Colossians 1:21-22 kicks in
“Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. But now he has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation.”

Colossians 2:13-15
“When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

I don’t know about you but as I sit here and study this and write all this down I cant contain myself forgive me for just a moment. Jesus my beautiful Jesus as I sit here and write this my eyes are filled with tears. Not tears of sorrow but with tears of thankfulness and gratitude for what you went through for me. There are no words that can be expressed to what I am feeling right now. To say thank you is just not enough so I ask you to take my life and use it for your glory. Not my will for my life Lord but your will be done in my life. Thank you my beautiful Jesus please except this song as a prayer from my heart to yours in Jesus name I pray Amen.

Jesus DEFEATED THE DEVIL WHIPPED HIS TAIL!!
1John 3:8
“He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work.”

Colossians 2:9-10,15
“For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority.”
And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.”

Jesus then DEFEATED DEATH
Hebrews 2:14-18
“Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death that is, the devil and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham's descendants. For this reason he had to be made like his brothers in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people. Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.”

How many of you would say that when you look at the cross that there was kinda of a lot of VALUE in that, how many of you would say and praise God that Jesus submitted to the cross and that painful experience? So saying that if God allowed and on purpose the horrible rotten crucifixion of Jesus Christ then does this mean he will allow you and I to go through the crucible ourselves? Absolutely if the pain of Jesus and what he went through on the cross carries value does this mean that our pain carries value too? EXACTLY!! Even your pain serves as a powerful purpose if you will embrace it and surrender to it and acknowledge Gods providential care. You talk about a soothing balm to a broken heart to know that your pain is not in vain to know that through your difficult circumstances on the other side if you give it some time something wonderful, something life changing, something beneficial and awesome is headed your way. I will take that any day of the week. Trust him he sees your pain and he loves you more than you know.

Much love to all of you

I have this saved from an email I received. It is a powerful reminder of just how much God loves us. No one was ever tempted as Jesus was and no one has ever suffered liked He suffered. He bore it all on that Cross. He bore it all for ALL time and for Everyone of us. I do so love my Savior. He keeps me in sweet peace thru all of my trials and tribulations and helps me to grow stronger and to love Him even more.

    God Bless!

I cannot read about anything regarding the crucifixion without crying my eyes out because of what Jesus suffered for us. It is just unimaginable that someone would willing go through that for a bunch of undeserving sinners, most of whom don't even believe that Jesus is the son of God, yet He did it!!

Thank you God for your wonderful plan of Salvation and thank you for allowing everyone the opportunity to accept your plan. What is even more amazing is that You, Father, want us to come willing to You and that You do not force Yourself upon any of us. I am so happy and blessed that I chose You and will never forsake You!!

    Thanks for sharing, Carol
