Not ready for the cold weather yet!

Wednesday, October 14, 2009

So I finally broke out the winter coat today. I really don' t like the cold but I guess I better get used to it because it will be cold for the next 5 months probably! The only thing I ask is if I have to deal with the cold, I want some snow too! That would make it worth it.

So I haven't been to the gym in a week and I hate it, but my son has been sick and now I have had a horrible headache since yesterday afternoon! UGH! Oh well the only thing left is for us to get the swine flu, which is going around here, at work and at the schools. I don't want to push myself and lower my immune system. On a brighter note, I get the flu shot for the first time today. I had an egg allergy as a kid, which I believe is gone now, so the nurse is going to give me a small dose first to see if I have a reaction and if not I will get the rest so wish me luck!

I have to admit, I'm not ready for this cold weather yet either! It's been nice and highs in the 70's or lower 80's and now for the rest of the week highs are in the 40's and 50's. I acutally had to cut my heat on.

I had my first flu show last year, and the only reason I got it was because my work paid for it. I'm waiting for it to be offered again this year. Good luck on being able to get your dose though! I hope that my work will still offer it this year.

Boy! You're right, it was only 41 degrees this morning when my son and I got up. (I live in Delaware) As I'm sitting here, my fingers are getting colder and colder by the minute!!

Hope you and your son feel better soon. My family and I go Monday to get our flu shots. Still can't get the H1N1 shots because there is a shortage here.

    Take care,
