I'm Alive!

Tuesday, October 13, 2009

OK, I've been MIA.

Thanks, Mary, for calling me out on it. :)

I love how supportive you all are! I know I've been gone and I've been slacking a bit. I've taken some walks here and there but overall I have to suck it up and admit I've been a super lazy girl.

And yet my weight hasn't budged. 175 is where my body seems happy. I bust my ass and eat rabbit food and I lose an ounce if I'm lucky, or I go to Geneva and gorge myself on dark chocolate and it stays the same. I don't get it.

On the other hand, my body used to be happy at 185, 195, 215, etc., so I again have to take a step back and realize I'm not one of those people who can eat lettuce and miraculously lose 10 pounds. This takes awhile. A LONG WHILE.

So I'll be happy with my zero-sum game and get back to the gym for the one week I'm home and see what happens.

At least I made it to the gym this morning and after not running for weeks I was pleasantly surprised to last 22 minutes and then walk another 10. Not too shabby, even if it was a super slow pace.

I think that our bodies get to a set point and we just have to get past that setpoint and get to a different one. Good luck.

Guilt always works, lol. Glad you are back and got back to the gym. I know how hard it can be when the scale doesn't move. It's frustrating and you lose steam and motivation but just remember how good you feel when you are doing good things for your body. A little re-evaluation always helps. Good luck and have an awesome weekend!!!
