Day One AND I DID IT!

In my last blog I mentioned that I purchased the Nikeplus sensor. Today was the first day to get motivated and finally use it. I jumped out of bed this morning around 7:00am and slipped into some work out gear. In my mind I was hyped and ready for this challenge today and I was not going to let anything stop me. The hubby was was gone and the kids were asleep so I took the the opportunity to do me today. I sat by the computer and downloaded the program to my Itouch. I didn't want to start with nothing too difficult just yet so I set up my work out music and was out the door, thank god it was a beautiful morning the air was fresh the birds were singing and I felt good. This thing was talking to me the whole time telling me how I was doing, how far I was from reaching my goal and that even motivated me even more because I knew I could continue. Boy I was running and sweating. I tried to really stay focus and kept telling myself I can go on. Then that knee pain kicked in so I made my journey home at a fast walk.

Todays goal was

Distance: 2 miles
Time: 45 min
Calories: 200

What I accomplished today

Distance: 2.59 miles
Time: 36:38
Pace: 14'06" per mile
Calories burned 449

I think I did pretty good for the first time so I will be calaberating my work out to

Distance: 3 miles
Time: 45min

This device is wonderful and I am glad I made a new motivational friend.

    Way to go. I just got my sportsband last week too. I was actually so excited to use it and to see my runs uploaded. I'm not sure its accurate but I don't really care right now. I'm loving it. Keep up the good work! It motivates doesn't it?

    Glad you enjoyed your new personal trainer. So cool. I have a ipod touch, i guess i need to take it to the next level. Do I need special running shoes also or just the sensor? I'm glad i read your post, I was sitting here beatin myself up because I wasn't as fast as I thought I should be. After reading your goal I feel it was pretty realistic. i did 1.8 miles in 34 mins.

    I've had my Nike+ sensor (Sportsband) for quite some time but I have yet to actually use it outside of my hallway. Your post has inspired me to get out and take a walk today! emoticon
