Spark Fever

Friday, October 09, 2009

I am at the point in my weight loss when folks are noticing and recognizing that it's not their imagination, I have lost weight. The cashier at my job's cafeteria pulled at the two sides of my blouse and said "Donde esta mi amiga?" which translates "where is my friend?" as she pretended to be looking for me inside my clothes. The truth is my 17 pound loss, albeit small, is very noticeable, and folks are wanting to know what diet I am on. My answer is always the same - I'm not on a diet, I'm following Spark. Then I explain what that means. I track everything I eat, stay within range and exercise. Over the last few days I have visited several desks to show them my Spark Page and how the site is working for me. I have shared my nutrition page and have them enter their e-mail addresses to receive information. Each time I share the Spark, I become more excited and I believe that excitement is contagious, And more and more I appreciate the benefits of being a Spark person and I am grateful for this opportunity. One of my co-workers even mentioned that she would speak with her building manager about including information on Spark in their newsletter. Spark fever is the rage right now and I am so excited to be a part of it. So on Monday as I enter my office, I expect the questions and I am ready with the answers. I'm not on a diet, I'm following Spark and it's working very well for me.
