I am going to try the "FLAT BELLY" diet......

Sunday, October 04, 2009

I bought the flatbelly pocketbook the other day. I am determined that this is the year I will lose the belly fat (20 pounds of it). I want to be thin by next spring! I have been trying for 15 years now, and nothing seems to work, or should I say, I don't work at it hard enough! Yesterday I bought some MUFAs at the grocery store, some extra virgin olive oil and some pesto. The pesto was nasty looking in that jar. But guess what? I liked it! I made a tuna sandwich using a half can of tuna with 1 tablespoon of pesto on two slices of ww bread, and was surprised at how tasty it was! I am going to buy some dark chocolate chips today. I just need to remember to CONTROL my portions!

I also just bought a used treadmill which I have been doing interval training (walk/jog). I really work up a sweat, and I know it will get a lot of use this winter! Last winter I did exercise DVD's but had a hard time "talking" myself into doing them. Walking isn't as bad~ I like to listen to my ipod while on the treadmill and the time goes by faster!

Wish me luck!

That is interesting. I never heard of MUFAs before, but I just googled and I realise I eat those things anyway. Avocados and olives are two of my favourite things to eat.

Good luck with the flat belly. (Although I do think that everyone is a different shape and not everyone's bellies are supposed to go flat!).

I read all about the MUFA's (sounds like a cuss word huh? lol) in Prevention magazine (which I love). Honestly - it's a good baseline diet which I naturally have gravitated toward for some reason without even knowing it. One of the healthier ideas out there too! Me likey :)

Glad to hear you are enjoying your treadmill!! Keep up the awesome work!

I think you have the key. Many plans work if YOU work the plan. I am right there with you. I have been working for almost 13 years trying to get where I want to be...maybe "working" is not the right word. LOL. But on a diet roll-a-coaster up and down. I am planning to get to my goal this time and stick with you. I know you can too. Interested in the flat belly pocket book you mentioned.
