First Blog Entry Ever

Who am I? First of all, I am a husband, a homeowner, and a dad to two special dogs. Since college I have been slowly adding weight as I've decreased my exercise levels. I used to run cross country and track in high school and freshman year of college. I was pretty good and I enjoyed it, but I've allowed work and my own laziness to slow me down big time.
Just recently I decided to make changes before I put on more weight and I am training for the Madison Half Marathon in May 2010. I will be running in at least three shorter races between now and then as well, including Crazylegs for my third year in a row.
I'm hoping that Sparkpeople can help me to stay motivated on those 12 hour workdays when I really don't want to workout.
