I did it!

I gave myself a new commitment - I joined Curves this week and had my first training on the circuit today - it felt great! 3-4 times a week and I think I'll make it through winter without gaining, as I traditionally do! I also bought some walking videos for those really yucky winter weekends and mornings when I need to get up and get going...

Who knows...maybe by next year, I'll actually talk about the possibility of running...NAH!

    Yay for you! I, too, used to struggle with regaining 30# in the winter...hated it. Last year I got a heart rate monitor & set some calorie burn goals. It worked! I'd be happy to shovel 4 times/day or snowshoe up a mountain for 2 hrs to get those big burns. And I made it through the winter without gaining. It was such a high to do that! Glad you're doing Curves..I've heard some real success stories from Curves. Go for it!And I bet in a year, you'll be running, too. Go, girl, go!
