Break a bad habit, forever

It’s easy to get into ruts, and some of them are so engrained they become mindless. In truth we know that many of our routines work against our weight loss. We also know by now that we can’t change what we don’t acknowledge. Starting today begin to scrutinize some of your habits that might be sabotaging your weight loss.

What are you doing automatically, without really thinking? For example, do you regularly hit the vending machine for a pick me up in the late afternoon? Are you taking the elevator when you can take the stairs?

Take each situation and make the needed adjustment. Old habits die hard, but with acknowledgment and a sprinkle of perseverance, you really can replace old patterns with new healthy ones. Start today!

This blog is terrific. It is easy to have habits and them keep you from losing weight. Sometimes I might eat something, and then after I have finished, think,"Amy, you weren't going to do that again. Why weren't you thinking about what you were doing?"

SPARKS has had a good point too that I have tried to use, that people just haven't really in my past. When they eat something and mess up their diet for the day, just say, "Oh, well I have already messed up today. I will just start again tomorrow let's go get a something to eat." I have quit doing that.

Now my problem more than anything is eating enough. I don't buy the groceries, and I get extras some, but it still doesn't help a lot of the time.

What you have said will help us all!!! Thanks a bunch. Your Friend, Amy emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
