it can't rain all the time

Why is it that even when it is cool, rainy, and windy I still get really hot and sweaty when I run. So, at the moment I m drenched, in more ways than one. Gross. At least I still went out and ran, even though I went out and it was all rainy, earlier than I expected it to be. I think that going out and exercising in inclement weather should burn more calories. That somehow the dedication should add burning power. If only.
So, on my run this evening, I did some thinking. About playing dress-up...what else??? I think that the day after the ToT (my birfday) I will wear the infamous size zero dress. If I feel sassy beforehand, I may tack some feather trim to the skirt and say I am Yvette from Beauty and the Beast. If I am feeling really sassy, I will wear a pair of fishnets, as well. I am still wondering a bit what the ladies in the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique are going to think about a thirtysomething woman coming in for a makeover...but I figure it's my birthday. I can do what I want, right? I'm still figuring out details for our race costumes and our real costumes, but I am making a little headway.
G goes to the doc tomorrow for a check-up. I need to remind him to ask about how to manage his diabetes while running. G asked me today if they just had water along the course of the Princess HM, or if they had anything else. I mentioned that there were also Powerade stations and one Gu station. I don't know if there will be Gu on the ToT, as it is quite a bit shorter. He thinks he may start taking some Powerade on our runs, and see if that helps. I will have to start investigating fuel belts for him. He is defintely gonna need a place to keep his glucose meter, and other accoutrements, and extra hydration and fuel for him. I don't need much on my runs, so I have to remind myself he needs stuff. I am hoping that now that I have him out and running, it will help his energy, and get him working out more.
Oh, and before I forget...I found out my niece is in the top four for Homecoming queen at her school! Her Homecoming is this weekend, and she has to ride in the parade, and go to the game. They crown the queen at the game, so I am crossing my fingers and toes for her all week. I am pretty proud of her. She goes to a really big school, so it's impressive that she stood out enough to get this far. I was a loner in school, so there was no chance of me being queen, so I am glad that there is someone cool in the family! I told her to take lots of pictures of herself from the parade and the game and the dance, since I can't be there. (Had I found out any sooner, I would have gone out in a heartbeat!!) I still can't believe she's a senior! It's making me feel a little old. *sigh*
Well, that's all the news that is fit to print. I am going to take a nice hot shower now, and wash all the rain and sweat off, and try to catch some ZZZs. Weekends are far too short. I am sad that it's back to the grind in mere hours.
