Hump Day

Wednesday, September 23, 2009

Today was my day to go to town and do errands and grocery shopping. I really wasn't into it so I left late, rushed through it, and got home in time to slam supper together.

I'm tired. I would love to be able to get a little decluttering done today but I still need 1200 steps to get my daily 12,500 in and I must do that.

I still may decide to go through a small bag of junk, one of the boxes I have left to do, or a magazine rack. I don't want to get in the habit of going a day without working on this.

Sparklady says to use a kitchen timer and declutter/ toss for 15 minutes, then drink your water or do something nice for yourself.

I really need to follow your good example!
Finding the time is the issue, though I know I'm just making excuses, I could give 5 minutes to it daily and not let things pile up till I need hours to do it.

Morticia, You are doing a great job! Don't beat yourself up if you are just too tired to do it for one day. I was going to ask you if you have heard of FlyLady? The program has a lot of great tips. I'm part of the group here on SparkPeople. It might just be one more thing to add to your arsenal of daily good tips:-) Keep going girl! You'll make it through:-)

You've got a great attitude to get rid of the clutter. I desperately need to get back into that same mode. It's been since July 18th (big yard sale day) that I have been actively working on such projects. Perhaps if I keep reading your blog you will rub off on me...tee hee!

Hey, even tossing out one extra newspaper or putting away a few folded items of clothing is SOMETHING. Its ok to celebrate the small victories too.

    You're moving mountains! emoticon

And you're putting your health first. THAT is an example I need to follow. I've put off exercising for 2 days because I didn't feel well .. but ... no more... thanks for the reminder!
