Do you ever crave a particular food or meal, eat it, and then think, "wow, that wasn't even worth i

I do this a lot - for example, today I had a craving for Panda Express Orange Chicken and Lo Mein. But the problem was, I was craving that exact thing, from Panda Express itself. I thought about going to Po-dunk generic Chinese places and trying to get my fix, and instead I decided I'll wait for the REAL thing and have it as a reward on the weekend.
In a situation like this, experience has shown that a substitute is probably NOT going to be as good as the real thing. How many times have you craved X food with Y side from Z place. You get the same thing from a different restaurant and blaaaa... it's not what you imagined. Just doesn't make the cut. You eat your way through anyway, and at the end you wish you had just opted for something totally different... or not eaten anything at all. (that's the worst!)
I guess what I'm trying to say (in such a round about way) is that you should not deny yourself the things you crave... but if you're trying to eat healthy, you shouldn't risk wasting all those calories and happy-food-vibes on something that isn't the best. I'm not saying go out and have lobster every day... but if you feel like having lobster, don't sit and munch on immitation crab sprayed with Parkay and expect to feel satisfied.
What do you think?
