Gigs and food.

Sunday, September 20, 2009

As I stated in my status, I had two performances yesterday, both opportunities to perform and to eat my brains out. I am happy to say I did the former, but used considerable restrain in eating. The first gig was an outdoor festival in VA, where there was apple opportunity to pig out, but my lunch there was a crab cake sandwich, no tartar sauce, and some water. My Romney gig was in a church where there was plenty of great foods and snacks after the performance, but whereas I used to pig out, I sampled very lightly, though the potato chip cookie was good (get thee behind me, Satan!) Overall, yesterday was a very fine day of singing, and discretional eating.

Spark ya' later!

Well done, Brian: avoiding the yummies when the food is there in front of you is SO hard. Sounds to me as though you went in prepared - and then stuck to your decision. Brilliant! And the singing must burn some calories - I know I feel wrung out after a "do"... Keep up the good work!
