Reassessing Goals...and how far I've come!

Extra Credit - Where are you on this journey towards good health? Take some time to reassess your goals. Measure how far you have come. What are some of the things you are doing that you never thought would be part of your daily routine? What do you still want to change? What do you want next a fitness goal, a number on the scale, or something unique to your life? Take some time to reflect on your Spark Life and write a blog and give yourself 50 bonus points

I can't believe how far I've come in the last year. I've lost over 35 pounds, "learned" to run, ran races, completed a triathlon, and changed some habits. I've started drinking far more water - 8+ glasses a day - and continued to avoid soda! I never could have imagined conquering the no-soda goal.

My next short-term fitness goal is to complete the 15k I am signed up for on October 31, 2009. I hope to finish in under 1:40. Longer term goals include: finally reaching my goal weight, running a half-marathon next year in late Spring or early Summer, and continuing on my path to a healthy life.

One of my gym buddies compiled a list of everything we've done this year (and events I'm already signed up for), so I'll end with that list....
- YMCA Timed Indoor Triathlon

- Blarney Run 5k

- Trailbreaker 5k

- YMCA Duathlon

- Elkhart Lake Triathlon

- Bastille Days 5k

- MPS Run Back to School

- Komen Race for the Cure

- Briggs and Al's Run 8K
- Lakefront Discovery Run 15k

- Jingle Bell Run 5k
