Ok This Can't Be Me

Thursday, September 17, 2009

In May of this year I began on SP. I knew at that time I needed to do something about taking off some of my weight. I was very sedentary. Here it is four months later. I am still sedentary for the most part but some things have changed. In June I got into a challenge to exercise for 500 minutes in a month. I thought it would motivate me. It did a bit, but I really wasn't ready for it. I did try, but I didn't really give it a wholehearted effort. Needless to say, I did not accomplish that goal. 500 minutes was quite daunting to me. I think I made 300 and something that month.
Slowly but surely I have improved over time. Here it is the middle of September, and I am sitting looking at my spark minutes for the month. So far, for this month I am sitting at 845 spark minutes. Now how the hell did that happen? I still have thirteen days left in the month. Hey I may even hit 1000 spark minutes for the month by then. emoticon
It just goes to show, that if one sticks it out long enough, they can and will improve. I even made it up my flight of stairs the other day without having to hold the railing. That is a big major feat for me.
I figure if I can do it, anyone can, because I have to be the laziest person I know. emoticon

You've done great! Slow and steady wins the race, right? You may have had a slow start, but you're slowly improving... and that's the best way to do it!

Lazy??? Watching a 2 yo makes you tired!!! Watching a little one, I mean literally, just watching them, being busy, is tiring. Geee, just saying this makes me want to take a nap. WOW! I think your doing better, getting so close to your goal is quite impressive. Keep up the good work. I just joined SP and I have put on 4 #'s?? What's with that? emoticon
So, I have join a group at my local Hospital and they are going to our local park in Oct. and we are suppose to walk, 1 hr, 3 days a week and they are going to give away prizes & drawings. I thought, That sounds like fun. So, I decided, I think I'll walk around a couple of blocks just so I can get ready to DO MY BEST! emoticon Oh my, glad I did, I'm so sore.....But, I'm still gonna to it. I like prizes and drawings.

I was just like you when I started - thought no way would I ever reach the SP minutes that had been set for me for the year
(2,550). Well, in 10 weeks I had surpassed them. I had a slow start, but eventually got into a routine. What a great feeling!

Good for you at what you have accomplished! Excellent!

We all have bad days, but any day that we make an effort is better than not. We're all here to support and encourage each other, like one big family. Good luck on reaching your goals.
