I've Pulled My Calf Muscle!

'Would'nt that rip your ration book' as my Nana would say!

Just because I REALLY want to do well in the Black Panther Fall Challenge, I pull a muscle. I think its because I overdid the treadmill thing last week, and didnt really give into the pain. Thats not usually like me as Im the biggest sook on the planet! But I decided to 'work through the pain' and plod on.

Since Monday both my calves were sore. This morning, one came right. Today I went on an RV to see a friend and as I was walking up her pathway, I felt something pull. It felt abit like an elastic band snapping in my leg and boy was it sore. Its still pretty sore, but DH had the infra red lamp on it for 15 minutes earlier tonight and that felt like pure heaven.

Im going to hop into bed after I post this and try to rest it up. In the meantime, I'll work on my core and strength since I wont be able to use the treadmill or the crosstrainer *sigh*

I just want to contribute to the team this time ... and I'll do it one way or the other.

GO THE BLACK PANTHERS!!

    I hope you are resting it and letting it heal properly before you get back in the gym. Always stretch..I wasn't stretching and coming home sore..now I am stretching it is better.

    Ouch! Be careful not to overdo it next time. I need some of that enthusiasm though. Seems I've given up and given in. Weighed in 4 whole pounds heavier at the dr's this morning! emoticon Maybe this is just the push I need.
