Back In Control (Again . . . Finally . . . Thank Goodness)

The long weekend. Camping. Long-time friends. Potluck supper. Beer. Campfire. Guitars. Laughter and songs. How easy it is to lose control and fall off the health wagon. So this past weekend was the real challenge to my willpower.

I arose every morning around 6:30 and immediately got my exercise clothes on and exercised before the heat of the day set in and gave me an excuse not to. I did "roadwork" for at least an hour, preceded by warm-up and followed by strength exercises and cool down. All this, including a shower afterward, was complete by 9am.

All day long I charted every ounce and morsel I put in my big yap, heck, I even had a cold one at the potluck! While my counts were at the top end of the scale, I did not go over and that is a huge accomplishment for me.

So WooHoo! for me and this only proves that if I can do it, EVERYONE CAN!

    Well done! It's so hard to get up that early on a vacation, I admire your willpower!!

    I have also felt very relieved to be back to work and back in my routine after this holiday weekend.
