just another manic monday

I enjoyed most of my labor day, well, laboring! Luckily the siren song of time-and-a-half pay got me out of bed and into work this morning. It was a little tough after a well-deserved three day weekend, but I guess that's part of work. We did have a treat of Ben & Jerry's. I was semi-behaved in the face of such a temptress, and had sorbet, despite the chocolate fudge ice cream calling to me. Not too bad, considering the cone I had was 150 calories, while that choclate fudge brownie would have been 270. I didn't know that at the time, but figured the sorbet had to be at least a little better for me. Whew!!

I am planning to have something simple for dinner, and trying to get some sewing done. I also need to test drive the valium I need to take for my tests on Thursday, so I take the right amount as to not freak out when they start giving me painful shocks, but to also be able to follow directions. It is a fine line!!

Tomorrow is the big day I start my burlesque class. I am a little nervous, only because I am afriad I won't be good at it, and I don't like not being good at things right away. This is part of why it took me so long to get into running! I wanted to start off running at least three miles in a shot, and it just doesn't work that way. Also tomorrow, the hubs and I continue week 3 of C25K, and we go to see 9 at midnight. I am pretty excited about that, I have been waiting a long time to see it! I love Tim Burton, and his crew, so I hope I will love it.

Oh, and it seems I got my leave approved for the race! Now we just have to arrange all the details...trasnport, hotel, registration...a cute running outfit ;)

That's all I've got at the moment. I shall update tomorrow on my valiium trial, and how my class was!!! Happy Labor Day!

Dad and I can help with transport and hotel. Just let us know for sure when the flight arrangements are made. Somehow we are going to have to get you two a visit with Grandma and Grandpa. We can keep it short.

There was lots to comment on in your blog, but you know what caught my eye --- burlesque? That sounds fabulous! I hope you'll tell us all about it!

(And good luck with the valium!)
