We watched this last night, from NetFlix. It was cute, albeit a little formulaic. We watched it in part because when we had to choose our next disc, it was the first "light" film in our queue, and in part because I thought it would provide a bit of inspiration for training. I think it helped a little...we'll see!

We've pretty much settled on doing the Tower of Terror 13K this year. After not being able to run for so long, and having to start over, I was shooting for 2010. Unfortunately, I got an e-mail from Disney Racing that stated it was this year or not at all. I cried some self pity tears, and was angry, but G talked me into giving it a shot. We may have to power walk it, but I want the elevator medal!!! I am putting in my request for the time off at work tomorrow, and assuming I get the go ahead there, we'll sign up. It means I will have to cancel or reschedule my annual birthday party, as my b-day is the day after the race...but I figure a free day at the parks is worth it!!

In that vein, the hubs and I started week 3 of the C25K today. I made him promise to train with me as much as possible for the 13K. I figured it out, and running every other day will put us at 5K a week out. I'm figuring that if we alternate running and walking, and dig deep, we can at least get ourselves the medal, although it won't be the PR I was shooting for before all the shoulder mess started. On the bright side, I should be in pretty good shape for the HM in 2010, and am planning to keep going for the Twin Cities full marathon next year, also.

In the land of medical news, i get to have an EMG this week. My doc recommended me taking some Valium for it, as I've had one before and know the unpleasantness that awaits me. He was waiting, but since my symptoms are so weird, he is hoping to have more to go on, rule some things out, and get mroe info. At least I get a day off work! (hey, I'm trying to make the best of it)

Oh, and I am down 7 pounds. Not bad, considering I had some cheat days in there, and didn't work out as much as I had planned. My plan is to pay more attention to what I am eating, and to slowly increase my workouts. Hopefully I can wear something cute to run in for my b-day!!!

    Yippity skippity on all counts! NICE job on the weight loss, I'm so proud of you. Your super dedication is paying off! And WOW am I jealous of you getting to do Tower of Terror - that elevator medal is WICKED. I think the group going out for that one is going to be so much fun. Sadly for me it's not going to happen, I've figured out that no matter how bad I want it there's just no way to make that trip from KS without it being a really expensive production and having to take 2-3 days off work. Not happening right now unless I want to get fired! Oh well, I have to live vicariously through you guys. :)
