A little more positive

Friday, September 04, 2009

Well, I had my gown fitting last night. I always have weird things happen when I go for appts. My appt. was for 6:15pm, and I show up at 6:05pm (because I am always late, so I made a point of being early this time, in case more time was needed for alterations). The seamstress answered the door, and was like 'who are you?'. I told her I was Wendy and I had an appt. and she was very confused. I guess a lady showed up the day before and she thought she was me, her name was Wendy too. So she cancelled my appt. When I showed up she was having dinner and had invited her parents over as her daughter was going off to University. I felt bad, but it wasn't my fault and I had driven 1/2 hour to get there.
Anyways, she called the store and figured out the mixup and proceeded to alter my gown..lol!
It is 3 pieces (camisole/jacket/skirt) and they are all too big. I asked her about making the camisole a vneck instead of straight across, and she quickly ruched it while I had it on, on the neckline which solved her problem of taking it in at the top, because there are seams in it and taking it in would have made all the seams crooked, so one problem solved. She is taking the jacket in about an inch and a half along the back to start and the skirt about an inch on each side. I go back on the 17th to try it on, and she will have to do more then. She first wants to do this and see how it looks before she does more. The jacket & skirt are still big and she will have to take in other seams, but I am a bit more positive, and the ruching gives a better line in the camisole. I asked her about putting my weight on hold, and she said I could keep on losing and she would keep on taking it in, no problem. So I was happy about that, as I did not want to maintain right now, I think I would have trouble getting back on. The cost will be about $150. to take it all in, but I am hoping it will be worth it for me to feel good on the day!
I made an 'airbrush' tanning appt. for next week as a trial for the wedding. I have a 'farmer's' tan going on and it looks weird if I take off the jacket. I have never in my life gone for any kind of tanning, but I figured what the heck. And I also made an appt. at MAC to have my makeup done. What a treat this is going to be. On the day, I will just have to get dressed, as my hair and makeup will be done!

Well, off to do my treadmill/30 day shred & dog walking!! Glad I can keep going with this as I am not a good maintainer. My weight seems to go up or down, and if I ever get to goal, I will have to figure out how to maintain it when the times comes!

Have a good Friday everyone!
