On A Lighter Note

I went over to my mother's last evening to bag up a bunch of clothes that were too small for her and give them to my daughterinlaw. I took the bus just over half way, but at the transfer point, decided to walk the rest. It is about 14 blocks. It didn't take much time at all. I had left here shortly after 6 pm and was at my mom's before 7 pm. I got there and spoke with my mom for a bit, then started the chore of cleaning out the dressers, separating clothes, bagging what was too small and putting stuff that fit back away properly.
After I was finished, I was talking to my brother about his balance ball. He happened to be sitting on it at the time. My brother, David, has always been and will always be a fitness freak. He is very fit and well toned, but not overly muscular. He works out daily, by riding his bike back and forth to work, and going to the gym at least four times a week. As we were talking, my mom piped in that there was an unopened balance ball there that my stepdad had won and never used. It came home with me. emoticon emoticon.
I sat here last night pumping it up by hand. It came with a small plastic hand pump that takes an hour to use LMAO. After I finished pumping it up, I put the pin in and sat on it...... wasn't pumped up enough emoticon anndddd I could not get the pin back out!! Got any good swear words for this part??
I wound up waiting until this evening till my hubby could get the pin out for me and he pumped it up some more for me and put the pin back in. It is still not hard enough for my liking, but I can sit on it and bounce which is a lot of fun and makes me giggle. Guess I am going to have to use it now that it is here.
I am building slowly, have a recumbant bike, three pound weights, and now a balance ball, which I plan on using for my flys and chest presses. Who knows, I may even lift a leg or two once in a while. emoticon
This morning I took a trip to the store and got a couple of things I needed. Stairs are getting a bit easier to work with.
Tomorrow and saturday I babysit, which means walking home both days, just over a mile from there to here.
I am really enjoying being out and about, it has been so long, and is a wonderful feeling to just go whenever I want to. I cannot believe how much difference it has made watching my sodium the way I have, but it has made a huge difference in my walking ability.
Good luck on your journey and I hope it is as fulfilling to you as mine is to me. emoticon

You are doing wonderfully! If I bounced around on a ball I would probably go flying threw a window! I'm not very coordinated with some things. You should see me on a trampoline, not a pretty sight! emoticon It is great when the stairs don't get to you and walking a mile is no problem. Keep up the good work!
