Grocery Shopping - Hate it or Love It?

Tuesday, September 01, 2009

I had to go grocery shopping today. I was down to the bare bones, but I really don't like shopping for food. There are so many temptations and I am not always strong enough to avoid buying.!! emoticon

They tell you to do the majority of your shopping in the outside aisles around the store. That's where the fresh produce, meats, dairy are. Even when I have a list I still seem to have to go up and down very aisle, I'm always looking for something that I read about that I want to try.
Today I think I did very well, stuck with healthy choices, had some coupons and now I can cook. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
That was hard work and I'm going to give my self a emoticon

I was just reading this blog. I think it would be nice and helpful to you, if you would start blogging on a regular basis. Maybe weekly at first, if it's a chore and maybe more often.

I like to hear how my friends are doing and if they need help in any area.

How is that food shopping going lately?

It took me forever to stop buying stuff because it had a coupon but was not good for me. I would buy a bag of chips, pig out and throw the rest away, because I felt so bad.

It's all a habit which needs to be replaced with a good one.

    Here for you.

I always stick to my list! I'm proud to say I have a $250 budget per month to feed a family of five and it is a fun challenge to make it happen with easy, healthy, clean foods!

Congratulations, I too find myself roaming all the aisles. It took a while, but now I don't tend to deviate from my shopping list as much. Having a planned menu helped a lot.
