2nd Entry today: The Art of Being

Monday, August 31, 2009

So much to do. Lists, Post-Its, Reminders, Calendars. We run and plan and drive ourselves nuts half the time. What about "BEING"? Allowing ourselves to live in the moment, even for just a moment. Can we do this? Is it allowed? Will some Hall Monitor, List-Gathering, Tattle-tale come running along to break the spell?

So what if they do. Sometimes, just for the heck of it, BE. See beauty in something no one else gets. A Cloud, a bird, a bush, a perfect moment when in the worst crowded parking lot - a space, the perfect parking space is just there. Silly, maybe. OR, could it be the great cosmic universe saying - "Hello, Here I am, Here YOU are?"

A short blog, just hoping to get you thinking.

You got it, Gina! Every day when I take my walks -- that's exactly what I love to do! Listen to the sounds -- watch the birds go from tree to tree, there went a squirrel go across the street -- that's all part of what helps me get through my day while I'm at work. It's my calmness and my time to enjoy being alive!! You said it all perfectly and I couldn't agree more! Super emoticon blog, my friend! Loved it and thanks for sharing!!

Being in the moment, as you are relating it, means to let go of the past guilts and pain, not project into the fearful future. Sounds wonderful and yes, YOU should take moments like these out of your busy world and do it. It does help.
