Hey guys, I’m so excited I wanted to share. I have my last swimming lesson on Tuesday, September 1, 2009. I have really made a major accomplishment. I am a beginner swimmer, just a few short weeks ago I had no clue. I knew for sure adding the breathing technique along with the arm and kicking movements would take me out but I’ve prevailed. Okay, I’m no expert; I said I was a beginner but I am determined to practice, practice and practice so more until I become better. It is a great feeling to put your mind to something, act on it and get it done. That’s what I did; I got it done so I’m a better person for it.
Now I will take this positive energy and way of thinking and apply it to my weight loss journey, my new lifestyle change. Success has a way of motivating you even more, which is essential in the weight loss battle. Just like practicing to swim, we must practice the lifestyle change, practice eating better, practice exercising until it becomes involuntary, until it becomes an unbreakable habit. I’m so hyped I’m ready. I’m not saying the struggle is over, I’m not saying the obstacles are gone, but look at it like this; the more obstacles I encounter the more I should learn from the experience. This tells me that I should not be knocked down or backwards by the same obstacle each time, I should at some point learn how to duck, dodge or even jump over it.
I’m on to my next adventure, Boot Camp 2 2009 at the health and wellness center. It starts today through October 10th 2009, I won’t take anymore of your time but I’ll give you more information later. Thanks for taking the time to listen to what I had to say.
May God Bless You!
