Yikes only 30 days until 45!

After all the blogging on Jeans I realized ...

My page says Fit by 45 September 29, 2009. So as I was glancing at the date and realized I have 30 days. I have reached my goal of having my cholesterol numbers at a great level. Went from 210 to 178 from July 08 to July 09. HDL and LDL are at excellent levels as well as Triglycerides. I didn't want to go on medication so I told my doctor I wanted to try eating better. It worked.

So the goal I didn't keep was exercising. I did restart ST and love it. I actually do crunches so much my 3 year old knows what they are and lies on the floor at times and tells me he's doing them. The culprit is cardio. I am interested in the p90X, but need time to order and prepare. Ultimately once my son starts school full time I would love to go back to the gym, but for now I would like to do a 30 day challenge for myself.

So that leaves me with my TJ DVDs. I am going to restart my 20 minute TJ workout and then go to cardio party. I would like to find time every day.

Thanks for reading my last minute goal. It's fun to make a personal challenge. We all know I won't turn into a pumpkin on September 30th (right?), but knowing I've given myself a goal will make blowing out the candles on my birthday cake September 29th, that much more special!

Have a great day all.

Congratulations on getting those numbers down!

And way to go on having a PLAN to meet your goal. If you fail to plan, you plan to fail! Just saying "I want to exercise more" isn't enough. You are moving in the right direction by planning a specific time of day to do a specific workout.

Make sure to write it on your calendar or in your day planner or on your bathroom mirror! (Don't use lipstick - try dry erase marker!!!! Way easier to clean when you meet your goal...)

I hung a little sign on my shower door. It just said "Are you sweaty?" If the answer was no, I didn't get in yet. LOL

    Spark on!!!!!!!!

Being fit can be measured in several different ways. You have named a few in your blog already, like health and weight reduction. These are great acheivments that should be celebrated on your birthday or any day.

Exercise is hard at any age to stay the course, especially with a small child.

Trying and being mindful is also small steps towards a fit/healthy lifestyle. Great work!

    And happy birthday early...
