Well That Wasn't...OK it was...Fun!!

Sunday, August 30, 2009 i go to the hospital cause my mom says my face is swollen and she thinks i need it looked into they take me back...take down the info...i wait another hour and the doctor, as he is walking through the door says you have "blah blah blah" trully that is all i heard...and how does he know i have blah blah blah without ever laying eyes on me before... didn't touch me yet...nothing... i just have blah blah so i told him to explain it to me in human allergies are acting up...(well duh) and i have an inner lower lid infection sty... uh...ok...he says between the 2, that is what is making my face swell... and explains the bump in my lower eye lid... so because of the severity of it i was not only given eye ointment antibiotics... but a antibiotic that i swallow also... each 3 times a day for 7 days...along with a heating pad on eyes for 10 minutes 4-6 times a day (this all said with a straight face cause everyone knows we have that kind of time to just do that) and oh yea...take that allergy medicine even if it does make me tired... and in his exact with it...ooooooook then....the good news is that my dd2 was wrong....i did not have a the other hand...i have meds to take for the next 7 days...and oh yea...i'm to just deal with the tiredness....i think this is the funniest part actually....ok...the best part was when the patient across the hall told the doctor (the same one by the way) that he was tired of taking all the pills cause it made him sick and he told the doctor to just shoot that suppository up his (the patients) a$$ and get it over with already...gee...i wish i would of thought of that...tehe.

I find clortimatron to be effective and not as sedating. Anti-inflamitories help and avoiding.. Is there mold in your life? Make it gone if there is. dd2 will help.... she sounds dreamy.. take a heating pad to work with you.. (if you can have it live there. It's so good for back pain) In lieu of that a warm compress on a clean paper towel will do what he is suggesting...

The swollen face thing is serious that's why he's telling you to take the allergy pills anyway.. Im surprised he didn't use cortizone. Was Blah blah blah, anifalixis? Could that be it..

I HATE when a doctor tells me to just deal with it. Ughh!

I am happy it is only a stye. I've had them before and they can be a pain. Here is a webmd article explaining about them.

Good luck and feel better soon!

Is getting a third opinion an option? I mean, at least about the tumor part and your sty didn't just like grow on top or adjacent to one? 'Cause if one doctor said I had a tumor, and the other didn't, I'd be just the slightest bit nervous and curious as to what the real truth was, and I'd want to feel one hundred percent safe.

Glad you've kept your spirits up, and wishing you a speedy recovery!

emoticon glad you found out what it is.
Um, yep, it's always easy for Dr's with their pride & ego & all, to tell others to 'just deal with it, ect...'. I always want to tell them then they can come live my life for me & see how easy it is emoticon (thankfully my current Dr isn't like that... she treats me right!)

HAve a great evening, dear kitty, & take care!
