10 lb Challenge ~ August (Day 29)

Good afternoon!

The August challenge has been just that - a challenge. I will weigh in on 31st - but I can tell you, 10 lbs did not disappear from the scale. I know why. I've been doing some heavy strength training this month (I actually just began my ST program mid July) and I've gained a significant amount of muscle. I can actually see a difference in my arm strength and am feeling an actual muscle wall in my abdominals under my layer of fat (don't think I'm being mean to myself, this is the God's honest truth).

It has been hard to stay true to healthy eating and working out when you don't see a large budge on the scale. There were some days I felt like giving up. PMS was HUGE this week. I ate a York Peppermint Patty with my banana and yogurt breakfast! Then there was the box of Trix ... with no milk ... straight out of the box. Don't get me started :)

I feel good that I've blogged about my adventures this month and will do one final month blog on the 31st, then I will pose a new challenge for September. This one may be a fitness challenge. I hope you will all join me!!
