An achievable goal to consider :- )

The school year has come which is making me think of books and paper. Many of us hoard one or both.

New goal through the end of September: go through your books/paper and get rid of one box of books or 1 pound of paper a day. One pound of fat lost also counts for reaching a day's goal.

The most challenging thing to do is start - no procrastinating and no excuses.

Yes, that means today. You can do it! emoticon

Handle each item once. Don't agonize. Make a quick decision.

If you truly love it or use/read it or are required to keep it for recordkeeping, keep the item.
Otherwise put it in a box: trash, donate, sell. give to someone else, or keep.

Letting go may cause a certain amount of anxiety. That feeling is very normal. Feelings are important, but they won't get the job done. Let reason control your behavior. Take the first step.

You are worth making a commitment to yourself. So am I and I am going to work through this too right along with you.

If you are willing to work on this challenge, go to the 'Committing to Action' topic and share your books/paper commitment with the group. If you need to modify the goal, that's okay. Simply state your goal for now through the end of September.
