Home from DAV Convention

Friday, August 28, 2009

For the past 5 days my significant other and I journeyed to Denver, CO to attend the National DAV (Disabled American Veterans) Convention. We met friends there who had flown in from CA. It was our first convention of any kind. Needless to say, we were over-whelmed with all the people, activities and FOOD. Understand that I went to CO in a frame of mind that I would enjoy whatever food was offered and I did! But after not losing any weight for 2+ months, I automatically assumed I could count on gaining weight with that attitude. However, I found myself being more selective than I would have been had I not been with SP since May 09. I did eat cookies and brownies, ribs and brisket, potato salad, chocolate cream pie, cheese cake and on and on. Get this!! I lost another pound after all that over-eating! I am estatic. I just have to realize NOW that I can't continue losing while eating like that at home. :-)

You go Annie!!!! That altitude got your metabolism going! Not to mention all the walking we did. Good to be home and back on plan! We can always go with good intentions and blow it, but sometimes we have to "blow it" big time to get it to move....

    Love Ya!
