Amp up the workouts...

Monday, August 24, 2009

Yeah, I've got to do a lot more. I need to start acting like someone really concentrating on getting fit, not just a few days a week.

So, today I started the 200 sit-ups program and the 100 push-ups program - only I'm doing girl push-ups. When I get that down, I'll move to manly ones!!!

Add that to my regular weight lifting running (which by the by is very improved) and my good diet and we'll see what we come up with in four months!

Today I ran 2.5 miles on the treadmill at an average pace of 14:00...horrible. Came home and did two miles on the pavement at a 10:40 pace. MUCH BETTER....

Okay...gotta go!! See ya :)

i think your approach is admirable, your commitment is congratulatory, and your progress is POSITIVE!!! you're dead-on with what you have to do. i'm in the same situation. we have to move and do MORE than we are for our bodies to get the weight off and ease up some when we reach maintenance. i'm into pilates when i just wanna do something different, that's not aerobic, but it sure feels good! c'mon, you know you've got it in you. deep down, this is one of those challenges I KNOW you're up to. you've conquered smoking, have become very mindful of your emotions, cravings, and thought-processes, the plateau for that has passed, and it's on to another personal challenge for put energy, strength, and commitment into this lifestyle incorporate it into your daily existence, your wants to change you because it wants to change everybody who understands how beneficial it is. with that change comes obligations, like exercising, staying active, eating and hydrating well, and giving you body the fuel it needs to BE WHERE YOU WANT IT TO BE, do what you want to it do, and go where you want it to go. we are in control. smoking, food, and laziness do not control us. the act of our stopping and thinking about what we're doing and why is the key to our success.

there is nothing wrong with the "girlie" push ups if you do them correctly... remember do not put the weight on your knees it should be on your thighs... OUCH.. that hurts a lit more...
