Saturday, August 22, 2009 I'm having a blah kinda day today and thinking about what I will need to do to boost my weight loss...before joining the group from church I had alread hit a plateau but I thought that perhaps the support and encouragement from others close by (friends and aquaintences) would help me to "begin again" hasn't...I am sit spinning my wheels on the plateau. So, I've been thinking that I may need to add some calories for a few days and see if that will kick start this thing into gear agin...I remember from going to Curves that sometimes we need to do that (and it does work so long as you don't relapse into your "old ways" and get back on your diet as before). My weigh in is tomorrow...I will decide what to do after that...according to how it goes. Pray for me. Thanks.

    Definitely DON'T GIVE UP! emoticon

Don't make it a race, make it one day at a time. Getting HEALTHY takes a while when we are not into a healthy lifestyle.

Build something new on each day or each week. Go slow and make the changes last. Don't try to conquer all at one time.

    Here for you!

a spark friend left me with some good advise for plateaus and you can find it on a site on my page called "calorie cycling" just join up and you will find information on how to do this. I have not used it or taken the time to figure it all out as I have not needed to use it yet, but it does make sence and the sparks people using this system are finding great results.

What ever you do DON"T give up! we are all here for you, the weight will budge eventually just be patient. Aside from that site I mentioned, two other ways to get the scale to move again is to shake up your work out by trying something different with a little more intensity or lowering the calories a bit.

Take care and let me know how it goes.

those darn plateau's can really put u in the blahs, try adding some weights. strength train doesn't have to be like the olympics or body builder's, just making your muscles stronger can help with weight, bone mass, and so many other thing's . you can just use one lb weights , walk with them on tred, or incorporate them into workouts you already do, muscle burns fat, plus gives you more energy emoticon
