Friday was a disastrous day ... but there is good news!

Friday I lost my engagement ring! It just slid off my finger SOMEWHERE in town! Some of you might remember that in June I lost my Vegas wedding ring at Bedrock. But that ring was impossible to find since we were in a gravel pit! That crushed me ... but this one is really tough to swallow! But I began to think, what the heck is wrong with me? I NEVER lose things! I've never lost anything of value or importance before in my life ... why now? Why two of the 4 most precious material things that relate to my marriage? It certainly was a painful weekend for me and with almost no sleep until I passed out Saturday night, an exhausting one!

Blaize and Andilu pointed out a VERY important point though ... those are just material things. It's not like I lost Klaus which is the important point! Both those rings can be replaced if necessary, Klaus can't be! So thank you BOTH for reminding me of that very important point!

The good news is though that the cleaning lady at the shop found my ring while she was doing the weekly cleaning on Sunday morning. She called me a I FLEW out of the house, down the 3 stories of stairs, and sprinted to the shop! Klaus was jogging behind me pleading me to slow down and let him catch up. Not a chance buddy! I'll meet you there! I had the ring on my finger and I was totally bear hugging this poor cleaning woman when he arrived panting and bent over in pain! Who's more fit? I think it's me! Ha ha!

Anyway ... it was a horrible two days for me, ones that I wish I had a "do over" for, but in the end ... I have both my wedding ring and engagement ring sitting safely on the "ring finger" (a crystal finger that holds rings) until next week when I have an appointment for an appraisal and down sizing!
