slipping but still trying

I've been battling with a lot of depression and anxiety and in that I've slipped on logging my food and also a lot of the more positive streaks I had going...like even brushing my teeth morning and night. I'm trying to get back on track. I really like the way sparkpeople isn't just about weight loss but about healthy habits in general. I really need to take care of myself.

The way it would happen with the logging usually is I'll eat something that's hard to log then I'll just blow off the rest of the day. But even whether I log or not I think I'm becoming more conscious of my choices, and also when I eat to fill some pain...and I have that urge a lot.

The wii has been calling me "overweight" instead of "obese" for the past several days and that I am really happy about. Ha it just has a nicer ring to it.

    I agree about the healthy living. It's not just about weight but about making the healthy decisions.

    Good luck with your goals, I also find some food that we have in our country hard to log so I have to find something of the same value.

    Hey! I really understand that emotional eating. I felt the same way after battling some really difficult stuff at work compounded by a missed miscarriage. I had to step back and recenter myself to get back to even caring. It is hard when you feel like that is the only thing you have control of (eating). I hope whatever is getting you down will repair itself soon!

    As for the not logging food, maybe start with just writing down the the things you are eating in a little notebook you keep with you. Research has proven that just simply writing down what you are eating makes a huge difference in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

    Good luck with your goals, you will get there! Take it one step at a time :)
