Day Four: Maybe not every day after all...

So I didn't blog on Saturday or Sunday, which is a bummer since last week I decided I would blog every day, but looking at it now I realize that was a pretty unrealistic goal. I sit in front of a computer all day every day at work so taking a ten or so minute break to hammer out a few thoughts on my goals, weight loss, workouts, etc. is no big deal. But on the weekends, I live a computer free lifestyle and I have decided that that is okay. In fact, I think it's a great thing.

On the weekends, I run longer. I ride bikes. I clean. I do laundry. I spend time with my family. I go to church. I play outside in the sun. I visit with friends. I shop. I cook. I read. Sometimes I even make my bed. I also watch TV and lounge and rest and pamper myself in all the ways I need to after a long week at my desk. In front of my computer.

So I have decided (after reflecting on my apparent failure to blog over the weekend), that I will blog Monday - Friday. Saturday and Sunday are no computer days! (Don't worry, I can still track using the sparkpeople app on my iPhone!) Sometimes you just have to get away from the screen and that is good for the soul in its own way. =)
